Principally active in the fields of music and drawing, Gentiane Angeli was one of the members of the Mycose collective, awarded prizes for its fanzine in Sierre in 2004 and in Angoulême in 2006. In her comic books that are gentle in nature but have a willingly ironic tone, she gives an off-the-wall overview of her everyday life, underlining her existential anguish or her festive free time. Her forays into the world of sculpture see her adapting objects, mainly the plastic heroes of her childhood that she then does not hesitate to deconstruct and recompose. With Pinocchio acquired by SPACE, she is interested in the picaresque aspect of the character in Collodi’s story which leads her to reflect on seduction, lies, Prince Charming... universal themes with an autobiographical reference point.
