Showing the shadow to represent things and beings, capturing a detail to refer to the whole, the absence and the emptiness to make us feel the existence that we don't see. Michel Beine doesn't reveal widely and at a distance the reality, on the contrary, he refines up to the maximum to make us penetrate places through multiple fragments which are all pieces of a puzzle that are building a travel experience. Morocco is thus revealed to us by the look of the photographer, by his memory et his experience of wandering. His pictures are more evocations than simple illustrations, they conceal from us more than what they show us, letting to our imagination the freedom to build our own journeys and to discover true stories or ones that we might have dreamed. Beyond the report, this book takes us poetically to Morocco, in cities that look like they are imagined. Michel Beine makes us breath the sounds and the scents, the vibrations of life.
