It’s a fact; Serge Delaunay is captivated by science, outer space, spacecraft, car mechanics, various architecture, robots and other machinery with even the most slightly elaborate technical design. His graphic creations delight in proving this and are immediately identifiable: decorated with snippets of phrases, slogans, dates, timetables, acronyms, brands, names – taken from magazines, television and radio channels, his initial source of inspiration – Serge Delaunay’s sketched compositions are intensely animated by images celebrating technical and scientific progress. On an odyssey with a fantastic flavour, he projects his long internal journeys with a hint of slightly anachronistic, delightful and communicative poetry. Serge Delaunay has worked daily at the artistic workshop Campagn’art of Centre Reine Fabiola at Neufvilles since the early 80s. His works are included in the collections at the MADmusée in Liege, the art)&(marges musée in Brussels, the Museum of la Création Franche in Begles and in the Collection de l’Art Brut in Lausanne.
